The Send-Off

The Ride of Respect left the Peace Arch on the morning of August 31st, 2012. The group gathered before departing for a blessing by Vancouver Fire Department Chaplain Bruce Ruston.

Escorted to the Surrey/Langley border by Engine 13 and 14, ten other riders accompanied Tim and Brian to Hope. Those riding to Hope included other active and retired Surrey Firefighters, and CFFF First Vice President and Retired Vancouver Chief Doug Wylie.
